No Frills Fun Run - Year 2

On June 12, 2012, Matt was cleaning the gutters on the second story of his home and fell backwards, hitting his head and injuring his spine and shoulder as he hit the ground below. He suffered a mild brain injury, impacting his speech and resulting in no movement from the waist down.

After 10 weeks of inpatient therapy, Matt was discharged in September 2012. Though he went home with a wheelchair, Matt was be able to climb the 16 steps leading to the second floor of his home with his wife Jill’s assistance and the use of a cane. He takes every day, one day at a time.

Update - When he is able, Matt now directs traffic on race day for No Frills Fun Run.
